CZ 455 THUMBHOLE

The CZ 455 THUMBHOLE with heavy barrel VARMINT is the model which is particularly interesting for sport shooters. Neither, however, any of the hunters will be disappointed, quite to the contrary. A well-proven barrelled action of the CZ 455 is complemented with thick-walled barrel in order to secure accuracy of fire for intermediate to long distances and also enables, without any effects caused by the barrel temperature, a many more subsequent shots. From the CZ 455 VARMINT rimfire rifle this model differs with its stock of ergonomic shape having a hole for thumb. The stock is manufactured from a specifically made laminated wood. Due to stock shape and the comb height and missing mechanical sights is this rifle natural for shooting with optical sights the reliable attachment of which is provided by the dovetail at the upper section of the receiver. The CZ 455 THUMBHOLE comes as standard with a 5-shot plastic magazine, with a 10-shot magazine as optional.

In the new generation of the CZ rimfire rifles we have managed to combine experience accumulated over the years of development and production of this type of firearms with traditionally high quality, long service life, accuracy and modern trends. The new model with designation the CZ 455 THUMBHOLE is based on classic design, but incorporating a lot of improvements, affecting most of the main parts of this rifle. First of all we have answered wishes by many of our customers for having an action enabling interchangeability of barrels. Adapting a new knowledge when making the barrel’s muzzle, which we have acquired in the course of development and manufacture of firearms designed for hunting at long distances, allowed shortening of barrel while retaining traditionally high accuracy. A new method of connecting barrelled-action with the stock is now dominated by only two screws with improved interface securing simpler tightening and superior appearance. This model is without sights. The use of cold hammer forged barrel has been again retained as well as the receiver made from a single billet of high-quality steel. Traditionally uncompromising care for details is projected to each unit of this new rifle and will make envy of other shooters be it at target shooting or while hunting.
